Syena is the fruit of a collaboration between three musicians: singer Ina Filip, the composer C# Orchestra and Juno and Emmy Nominated Composer Adham Shaikh. Ina Filip and C# Orchestra have collaborated for over a decade, with influences from Classical Indian, West African and Brazilian music contributing to their contemporary sound. Joining their musical voices with the ethno-centric productions of Adham Shaikh, the new trio created an exquisite downtempo Ep that sits quite magically at the intersection of ancient and contemporary. Beautifully interwoven lush vocals layered atop sublime acoustic instrumentation dancing across enchanting grooves.
